Students at Fort Street High School are able to bring their own computing device to school. This will allow richer learning experiences across all subjects. It will also enable teaching staff use technology to immerse students in real world examples on a daily basis.

Students’ safe, responsible and respectful use of digital devices and online services is the shared responsibility of students, parents, carers and school staff

 

Student use of digital devices and online services in schools is intended to enhance learning, wellbeing and educational attainment. Digital devices and online services can help students develop the skills needed for digital literacy, creativity, critical thinking, problem solving, interpersonal relationships and collaboration.

Students will be required to sign a code of conduct relating to the use of devices while they are at school. Once the code of conduct has been signed students will be able to use their device in class rooms and connect to the Department of Education’s filtered wireless network.
