Sport
Sport plays an internal part of both the formal curriculum and co-curricular programs. Year 7 sport is integrated into the physical education program. Years 8-12 participate in zone and knockout competitions. Students not involved in competition sport will in Year 8 undertake skills based sport at school and in Years 9-11 recreational sport. Many of our students both past and present are outstanding achievers in sport, including Olympians and Australian representatives.
Fort Street offers a wide variety of sports and activities, including: Hockey, Rugby Union, Soccer, Cricket, Netball, Aerobics, Basketball, Ice Skating, Squash, Swimming, Life Saving, Tennis, Aikido, Baseball, Water Polo, Touch Football, and Indoor Rock Climbing. Each year, the students achieve outstanding results at national and international events.
Students experience and learn skills in a range of sports through the PE program and Tuesday afternoon sport:
