Senior Curriculum

Year 11 and 12: Higher School Certificate

Senior Schooling consists of the Stage 6 Curriculum studied during Years 11 and 12.
All students must study at least four different subjects totalling a minimum of 12 units in Year 11 and 10 units in Year 12 including 2 units of English (Advanced or Standard.) The other units of study are chosen from:

Biology
Chemistry
Drama
Economics
English Extension 1 and 2
Engineering Studies
Geography
History - Ancient and Modern and Extension
Hospitality
Information Processes and Technology
Languages - Chinese, French, German, Japanese and Extension Courses
Legal Studies
Mathematics
Mathematics Extension 1 and 2
Music Course 2 and Extension Courses
PD, Health and PE
Photography (1 Unit)
Physics
Software Design and Development
Visual Design (1 Unit)
Visual Arts
Accounting (available through TAPE on application to Pricipal)

Curriculum choice patterns are formulated from student needs. A small number of students negotiate acceleration in one or more subjects. Students have accelerated in Chemistry, French, German, Hospitality, Music, Mathematics and Computing.
