Community Service

Giving to the community is a focus for our students. The Guidance Program in Years 7 & 8 provides a component of community service. Community Service also operates on a year group basis. Students support community projects as follows:

Fort Street High School has been involved with the Just Enough Faith (JEF) organisation for the past six years. This program involves students in year 11 giving a few hours of their time two or three times during the school year to assist in feeding some of Sydney's homeless. Students who volunteer have their names placed on a roster and attend JEF usually once per term on a Wednesday evening at the Domain. Students are supervised by a member of staff and other adult volunteers.
